Walk of fame

Ever wondered what makes celebrities, celebrities? Take a look at Lady Gaga a woman that rose into fame after her dress sense, unique in its own way and undefined in our existence. The way people tend to use the little things to paint the big picture and build images for themselves is funny. PR is not about going out there and preaching about how people should prefer you over someone, it takes just something as small and ordinary as meat converted to a dress to make it to the walk of fame. LOL! Now how easy was that? Lets look at Justin Bieber, a young teenager who rose to fame by just uploading one simple video on You Tube. PR or branding is not all about saying something to people, its all about doing something unique and memorable in order for you to create a brand name for yourself. People may hate and ban Pop star Lady Gaga from their countries but because of what she has done for herself as a brand she has a very loyal fan base that has placed her as the top followed celebrities on social networks. Her signature meat dress, half balanced heels and weird hats are what make her the brand she is. It doesn't take much to make it to the top, just a good PR and motivation is all that you need: but can we then go on to criticise PR as a socially unethical way of manipulating people's minds by showing them only the good side of the picture. Can we then also go on to conclude that Lady Gaga used her unique sense of dressing to manipulate her way through our social values of preserving food and being presentable when dressed. I wonder!

  1. Lady gaga is really not picky about the kind of attention she gets. Whether its positive or negative she wants all of it!

  2. Great piece of writing, to me it shows that you put some coherent thought into the concept and came up with an interesting and informed analysis on how broad the PR concept is.
